Alignments – Cavan Burren

There are two very significant, closely associated, alignments in Cavan Burren. Both alignments have a number of identical features as well as their own unique ones. There are also a number of other significant alignments. All these alignments need to be considered in conjunction with the multiple Directional Ridges on the associated monuments.

The two most important alignments both involve a wedge tomb, a complex boulder monument and other established archaeological features, this similar combination along with shared multiple features on the boulder monuments strongly suggests that these alignments are part of a co-ordinated planned sequence.
